Reports worth reading first.
These reports surface findings that surprised us - and would have surprised most shoppers. Not because the products are dangerous, but because the labels weren’t saying what the marketing implied.
Every product, fully examined.

The categories that needed closer inspection.
Some product categories carry disproportionate hidden risk - cross-contacts, reformulations, misleading front-of-pack language. These collections focus Bud’s analysis where it matters most.
Protein Bars
47 reports. The most frequently mislabelled category in our archive. “Natural” and “clean” protein bars have the highest rate of undisclosed cross-contact warnings in any snack category.
Yogurts & Alternatives
38 reports. Dairy and non-dairy yogurts are manufactured on shared lines more often than front-of-pack labelling implies. The gap between the claim and the facility is widest here.
Functional Drinks
29 reports. Prebiotic sodas, adaptogenic waters, and protein drinks - a category that moves fast and reformulates frequently. Bud flags version changes as they happen.
Gluten-Free Baked Goods
54 reports. The most common category for precautionary wheat advisories appearing alongside gluten-free certification. Certification and facility practice don’t always align.

Download BudVisible evidence over vague claims.
Every Truth Report in this archive was built from actual label text - not brand descriptions, not third-party summaries, not crowd votes alone. The label is the source. The label is always cited. If the evidence is ambiguous, the report says so. If the formulation changes, the report updates. We don’t round uncertainty to confidence. We don’t let marketing language stand in for ingredient data.
